Kali-Bung-Ah!!!

Hello Again Loved Ones!!!

Wow it is already the middle of May!!! It sounds like everything is going really well with the gang at home!!!! Hey Robin your in my prayers on the Job situation.. Pretty crazy the goonies we all have to deal with day by day sometimes!!! Hope it all gets better quick!!! Im not really sure what is happening to this area... I know success on your mission is sometimes up and down and its hard to find people to teach sometimes, but this area is not just on fire but scorching HOT!!! We have been teaching so many families lately!!! IT has been really hard because we have not had as many dinner appointments, (no not hard because the lack of food, as you can see im not starving) we don't really get to meet the ward, and branch out the teaching pool!!! It will hopefully get better soon, i've been here for going on 3 months now and there are still a ton of families that i don't know in the ward!!! Yikes!!! I think part of it is the towns we cover are so spread out!! Yesterday for the first time i went to Warsaw, which is the part of the famous lake areas down here!! The lake of the Ozarks!! It was a gorgeous drive out there!!! but with all the traveling we do from town to town gets to me! My first area we could drive the farthest edge to the other in like 15 minutes... yesterday we were in the car traveling to appointments for like over 2 hours!!! Crazy!!!

So anywho... The people we are teaching are doing Awesome!!! Yesterday we taught Antwon, he is 10, and he is set to get baptized this thursday... we are praying everything goes really smooth, he has a super short attention span... i mean i know how perfect i was when i was 10 so you know!!! He is awesome though... really solid kid, has a ruff life at home but since he has moved with his Aunt and cousins things are a lot better!!! So Pray he is ready by Thursday!! Lauren Pearson, the 18 yr old young woman, we are teaching is doing pretty well, we taught her the word of wisdom yesterday and she is totally coffee crazed!!! but she is determined to quit!! She doesn't have a specific baptism date but she is really gaining a testimony quickly!!! She loves going to church, all the acitvities, and has a awesome member fellowship!!! She is getting super close, and she graduates this sunday from high school so things are crazy for her too!!! Everyone is just super busy this month it seems!!! But yes the work is Amazing!!! And i totally just got madies forward and it looks like the work is blossoming everywhere!!! Ahh.. this is the greatest calling ever!!! Madies right state missions are the bomb.com!!!

So not much going on today.. we are going bowling i think and for FHE making Prayer Smores with the Leans and Antwon!!! Best & most delicious way to teach prayer... top cracker-"Our Heavenly father...., Chocolate-"We thank thee for... The Mellow- "We ask thee for.." Bottom cracker- "In the name of Jesus Christ, Amen"!!! haha This email is Amen!!! I LOVE you all so so so much!!! Mom im not sure about shoes yet so hold off a bit... I'll find out more soon!! Have a Awesome week!! MUCH LOVE, Elder Lance Murie

PS. Madie, I LOVE YOU!!!!!!!!

Madison told us on Mothers day that she had received a blessing and in it was promised she would be made whole while on her mission. She has graves disease and has been taking 5 pills a day to bring her thyroid levels down. It looks like things are changing for her if they are taking her down to 2 pills a day now. What a blessing. Just thought I would share that little miracle with you.

Hello Family,
This week has been totally amazing! I love it! Just so that everyone knows I am staying in Greenfield another transfer! I am in Another Trio! It's Sisters Eves and Parry! I love them both so much! This transfer is going to be amazing! We all just clicked and have had a blast together ever since we became companions! It's great! I really like trio's! I think they are so much fun! It is a little challenging at time but so is just having two! It's just like having your own little party with three! And it makes cleaning go a lot faster! Hehe... Sister Seibel got transferred to Moundbuilders, Ne Wark. Actually it's really close to where Todd and Amy live. She is companions with Sister Le Sueur my MTC companion.

But besides that Misty Posey finally decided she is ready for BAPTISM! Her and her 3 kids are getting baptized on June 5! Yeah! I am so excited for her! We are also teaching Sandy and Shelbie and they want to get baptized with Misty but we have to teach them a lot to have them get baptized that soon! And we are also teaching Kayla Wells and she will be getting baptized on June 19! Zack's b-day! It's all so exciting! This area is booming! I love it! We are teaching so much and having such a great time!

I also got my thyroid results back! I am hypo now. The doctor told me to go down to 2 pills a day and then I am going to get my blood work done in 5 1/2 weeks. Just here at the hospital in Greenfield. Do we have insurance for that? What am I suppossed to do when I get my lab work done? Just let me know whats going on. But that was really good news! So I also got your package you sent! I got it right before we left to come email! Thank you so much for everything! It is all amazing! Your the best! I really like the skirt! It's cute! Another style might be cute to but whatever works. I dont have my measurments but we have a couple of members that would measure me though. Maybe I will have Sister Snavely help me and send you the measurements. We are going over there for dinner so if we get time I will have her do that.

It's sounds like things at home are going really great! That's so cool that Preston is Romeo in the play! That's awesome! That's crazy about Kennedy serving in the phillipines! I couldn't do it! I love Ohio! I am so glad I stayed in the states! I know that Heavenly Father put me where I need to be! I am just so happy and I love all the people here! It's such a great experience! I know that I will never regret serving! Thank you for all of your love and support! It means the world to me! I love you so much! Have a great week!

Hello again family!!!

Wow this week has gone by so fast it feels like I talked to you yesterday..... OH thats right I DID!!! Wow yesterday was so awesome!!! It was so nice to talk to most of the gang back home!!! Oh and same for Caprice, Malena, Aireona, Allison Whitney, Grand- ma!!! I Love you all!!! Pretty crazy that was my last call home before i go home!!! Only 5 months left out in the mission field!!! Mom, it is so cool about you getting the different shift at work, that really is a amazing answer to prayers for you and things going better at work!!! Thats is amazing you get to sit down finally and make an extra buck doing so!!! Took a while but that is a awesome change for ya!!!

Its kinda wierd to tell you everything cause i just talked to everyone yesterday so this might be a shorter email... So yeah besides yesterday being an awesome day getting to call home, The lessons we had Sunday were amazing!! We taught Antwaun after we got off the phone for a quick second and before we talked on the phone we had dinner with the Stock family again out in Garden City and we were able to Teach their friend again, Lauren Pearson. The lesson went awesome, we were all kinda tired just after dinner so it was funny cause like a few people were sleeping in the livingroom we taught in!! All that matters is lauren really loved the lesson!! We taught the Plan of Salvation and commited her to be baptized, it was awesome I felt really prompted to commit her while i was teaching the part of the lesson that teaches the Atonement and the spirit was very very strong!!! She said Yes!!! and we asked her to pray about a date and we are following up with her tomorrow so keep her in your prayers!!!

Other than that not much going down!! Teaching a lot of great people, non-members, less active, active!! The ward really has our back right now and is excited about the work!!! We email here at Bro. Hill's computer place in Clinton and we have gotten pretty close to his family, so we met his older brother, steven hill, he served a mission and is less-active now, we helped him for like 5-6 hours on Thursday planting a football feild of a garden all by hand!!! probably more like half a football field but still huge!!! Tomatoes, peppers, califlower, the works!!! Pretty fun, however i got totally schorched by the sun!!!! All is well though, All is well!!! Anywho, i need to go family, urgent urgent things are waiting for us, like basketball and stuff!!! you know.... So yeah have a great week!! talk to ya soon!! LOVE YOU ALL!!! Elder Lance Murie

So happy Cinco de Mayo everyone!!!! Its crazy May is already here and going!!! I am so excited that i get to stay another transfer here in Clinton w/ Elder Brunner!!! We are having so many little sparks in the work and we are really starting to teach more lessons and find more people it is amazing!!! yesterday we had 2 new investigators come to church and they are the first investigaotrs that we have had to church since i have been here!!! We were way pumped, they really like coming!! Right after church we taught one of them at a members house we went to dinner with that evening!!! We were at the Stocks home in Garden City and we are teaching their 18 yr old friend, Lauren Pearson, and it is great because the Stocks kids reffered her to get taught and are a Awesome fellowship!!! There is nothing like teaching a non-member in a members home where the spirit is present!!! Pictures of the temples on the wall, Families are Forever, ect... It was a awesome day yesterday!!! It really seems since we spoke in church and such the members are just inviting their friends to more and more stuff!!! Even small stuff... we gave a church tour this week, had dinners with families and their non-member friend were there!!! It has been a awesome week for missionary work!!!! Small and Simple things are how this work, works!!!! Alma 37:6-7!!!

So yeah right now we are just at Bro. Hills office using his computers and we created the sweetest game ever!!! We are playing hackey sack tennis!! We turned a the warehouse room into a small court with a net and boundries and are volleying the hackey back and forth, first to 11 points wins!! Although it is making me write this letter super slow, we are having a awesome time playing the new game!!! I totally got the idea from that old NES game we used to have California Games!! Remember the Hackey sack level??? OH YEAH!!! Awesome P-day ideas come to you when you are out in teh middle of no-where!!!! Anyways... Mom thanks for working on the DMV stuff for me!! I will print your email off and call those numbers!! I really don't get the big deal i need a license to get back on a plane to go home and missionaries have gotten the kansas and missouri license before??? Just a big run around!!!! We have had to do a bunch of random errands this week!!! Our apartment had a bad leak that went from the bathroom to another room that we don't use and messed up the new carpet real bad, so we had these heavy duty fans that blew air under the carpet to prevent mold and stuff!!! That is no bueno, its good to go now though!!!

Anyways i am super excited to call home in 6 Days!!! Krazy Krazy!!! Happy Mothers Day Mom!!! Have a super duper, amazing, stunning week!!! Speaking of stunning i got the sweetest Suspenders at a yard sale for 10 cents!!! I will have to send a pic to ya soon!!! :) Much Love, have a great week and keep on biking on!!! Hello!

First of all my wrist is doing a lot better. I got the results back and it was fine! I just bruised it. It has been sore and I have been wearing a brace for it. But it is doing a lot better. I haven't gotten the results back for my thyroid and probably wont have them for another 2 weeks. I called and asked for them and I guess they just mail them to you. So... I just get to wait anxiously, but I know everything will work out. The lord is truly blessing me! Also I wanted to ask for some recipes. Mostly just the Cafe Rio ones. If you could just email them or send them. I would love them! Mom, I also wanted to see if you have gotten a chance to take my clothes over to that coyote threads place. I bet they would buy some of them. It is on the opposite side of the mall past the freeway. I am not positive of the name but it is coyote... something. Also don't really worry about me calling on Mother's day. It will be sometime in the afternoon and I will just call you. But I will give you a more specific time next week.

But anywho... this last few weeks has been amazing! I can't even explain how well things are going! We did so many great things this week! First of all we found this "golden investigator"! Brittaney Allen, she is amazing and she knows that it is true! She told us the last time we met with her that even if she wanted to deny it she couldn't! We commited her to be baptized on MAY 29! She want's it to be sooner but she has to go to church at least 3 times and so that is the soonest we can do it! But it is way exciting! I hope I don't get transfered before then. We also had a Sister's Conference this weekend! It was so cool! Friday morning we drove up to the temple. We met Sister Jensen and all the Sister's there. There are 11 sisters in the mission right now. But we did a temple session and then we went to the mission house. We all had prepared 30 min presentations on PMG topics. We were able to spend all day with the President and Sister Jensen. It was really such an amazing experience! The spirit was so strong and we were able to learn a ton! We also got to watch Another Testament by Mark Marby. It was such an amazing video! If you ever get the chance to watch it I would! It was so spiritually uplifting! I loved it! But we were also able to just have fun as Sister's and get to bond! It was really great for me because I haven't had the chance to meet all the sister's until then! And I was albe to get to know each of them better! And I would love to serve with anyone of them!

We also had stake conference this weekend! We were able to go the the adult session and the regular session. But it was really great! The theme seemed to really revolve around missionary work and having the light of christ! We were able to take Misty Posey one of our amazing investigators with us to the adult session and she loved it! And it was awesome because she drove us there and back! It was an 1 1/2 hour drive both ways and so we were able to really get to know her. We were able to answer a lot of her questions and help her! It was so great!

I don't remember if I told you but June 12 is going to be amazing! Todd C. Chrisstofferson is coming to our mission! He is going to be talking to us for a few hours that morning! Then later that afternoon they are having a quad stake relief society meeting where Sheri Dew and Russel M. Nelsons wife are coming to talk to us! I am so excited! It is going to be great! There is just so much going on!

The work is still progressing in Greenfield! We have so many investigators that are just sitting on the edge of the fence! They just need a little push! I am just so thankful for all the blessing that are being poured out! I know that this is the Lord's work! I love it and it makes me so happy! I have to get going but I pray for you everynight! I hope things are going well at home! I love you all so much! Have a great week! Remember Always to Smile! We are suppossed to stand as representatives of Christ at all times and in all things and in all places! I love you all!

Love, Sister Whitney
