I'm a Guzunder!!

As you know, we have a few quirky family words that most outsiders don't understand.  We know that a "guzunder" is is that flat tool that "goes under" pancakes or hamburgers to flip them over.  I think other people call it something boring like a spatula or turner.  Sheesh!

The other day Josh was washing dishes but the guzunder was still really dirty.  I told him to get it back out and wash it again.  Kendra was confused and asked what a guzunder is.  Josh, thinking fast, made up his own definition.  He said, "It's a name for girls who are about Bekah's age."

Kendra smiled, she liked that idea.  "So Bekah's a guzunder?"

Josh said, "She sure is."

Kendra giggled and said, "I can't wait until I'm a guzunder.  Then I can go to big kid parties with other guzunders just like me!"

We all got a good laugh and she was only slightly disappointed that she would never grow up to become a real guzunder.

Again so soon

Dear Family of Mine...

Whats up famiy??? Good morning from Missoura!!! Almost afternoon... Sounds like things back home are doing pretty good!! Thanks for the email Shaw family... That is way cool you used the song idea for Joseph Smiths first prayer...with Come thou fount melody!! That is like my fav thing ever!!! Thanks for all the emails this week, it is awesome hearing from everyone!! Wowsers... Crazy to think i only will be emailing a few more times!! I-karamba that is nuts!! Madie is way too funny... she asked me in a letter this week if i was TRUNKY yet??? Just so the family knows I think I'm doing pretty good!! We are working out tails off and it is so so much fun!!! This is such a great area to die in!! The Fleming Park ward is way supportive and the Kansas City stake is on fire right now!! Especially compared to what it has been!! The zone averages like 3-4 baptisms a month on a good month, and since we have gotten MTC new teaching curriculum we have like 10 this month and like 9 committed for OCT already!! Its so sweet to see all these amazing miracles happening!!

It was way cool... because we have so many people getting baptized this week i got to have my first Baptism Interview with a investigator. His name was D.J. some other Elders in another ward taught him and its part of the mission leaders job to make sure they have been taught and know everything.. Thus we have interviews :) So yeah I got to interview D.J. and it was a way cool spiritual experience!! Talked about the his experience with the church and how he knew it was true, he bore his testimony about how much he loved that ward and the bishop... IT was Sweet!! Oh and i asked him the interview questions... I guess that is important or something like that!!! JK. Its weird kinda being in leadership but opportunities like that are so worth it!! Man it was pretty crazy this week has been ridiculous ona couple of Elders in the zone wanting to kill each other!!! Yeah that's a bit different.. I used to think it was funny when elders would argue and stuff but not so funny when you have to fix things!! Blah... the mission president is just like "just do whatever you have to do so we don't have emergency transfers!!" Its funny, sad and ridiculous all at the same time!! Ahh.. 19-21 yr old guys together 24/7 for 2 years... you really have to work on not killing each other!!!

This week was a little crazy a Less-Active we were helping come back to the church passed away. It was really wierd!! He was a awesome older brother in the ward, Bro. Hearn. Then we got news that Diana Araujo's biological father passed away in a car accident. she was pretty upset she had never met him but just started gettting in contact to meet him!! Pretty tuff right after joining the church. She is still doing awesome though, she was at church yesterday. Just a little down right now. On some lighter news... The Kansas City Cheifs have won two games in a row!! Everyone here is way excited, probably cause last year they only won two games total!! Ha ha so funny!! I think Chiefs are my new football team till Utah gets a team close by, which it doesn't matter cause i don't really watch too much football!!! So mom about coming home I really appreicate the money to send something home, I will get a box ready soon. I am not sure about the flight home info yet...I will ask the mission office and see when they will tell you!! I LOVE YOU all!! Have a awesome week family!! Take care, talk to you soon!!!

MUCH LOVE, ELDER LANCE E. MURIE

From Madie -BUSY BUSY BUSY!

Mon, 20 Sep 2010
Hello Family and Friends!

I can't even tell you how busy we have been over the last week and how busy we are going to continue to be! It's crazy! The work in Marion is moving forward! Our investiagators are doing amazing! Keith Manns is working on getting baptized this Saturday the 25th of September! We just have to finish teaching him the lessons and get him interviewed by the district leader! He has been living the Word of Wisdom for 2 weeks now. Well mostly, he has had one slip up on Friday but if he stays clean and will live it from now on he will be able to be baptized on Saturday! It's so exciting seeing these people's lives changed! Abby is doing good. She is having a little more difficult time living the word of wisdom but is trying and has cut back on smoking. Her boyfriend moved out the other night after we taught her the Law of Chastity! Pretty exciting! We are also teaching her 2 little girls Zoey and Chloe who are 10 and 8! They will be getting baptized on October 9th if she can quit smoking! Tara is also amazing! She has been living the Word of Wisdom and has only slipped up once in the last week! All of these investigators have been coming to church and loving it! It's just fabulas! We have a few other investigators we are just continuing to work with! We also have 50 people that we have to contact in the next few weeks. We had a booth in the popcorn festival and that is how many people we got to sign up and so hopefully some good investigators will come off of the list! It's just great!

Transfers were this week and as you can tell I am still in Marion. I did get a new companion though. Her name is Sister Loosli. Pronounced Loose-ly, like tightly and loosley! She is really awesome! I have come to love her already! I know we are going to do some great work this transfer. She is from Southern California from a city called Irvin. She has been on her mission only 3 weeks longer than me. It was cool because she actually is from the Cincinatti Mission. She went into the MTC 3 weeks earlier than me. I stayed in her room and we had the same teachers in the MTC. It was cool and so we learned a lot of the same things from our MTC teachers and we are going to be celebrating our 1/2 way marks together! I love her though!

I got the medical letter. Thank you. They are drawing my blood in 6 weeks and I think they are doing 3 tests on it. And then I will go to doctor Kwaja on Nov 30.

Thank you for sending me pictures of Rhondee's wedding! She is so beautiful! I love her and hope she is happy! I did hear that Kennedy is engaged! That's so cool! I am excited for her! I still can't believe how many people have gotten married since I left! I am going to come home and be the only single person left! Crazy! Hopefully I won't stay single for to long though.

But time is up! I love you all so much! Thanks again for all the love and support that you give me! I love getting letters and packages from most of you! It's so exciting to get mail! I hope you have a great week!

Love, Sister Madison Whitney

Read the Book of Mormon! It's amazing! I have grown so much from reading it daily! I know it's Another Testament of Christ and it truly will bring us closer to Christ and our Heavenly Father!

Ohhh Sweetness!!!

Mon, 13 Sep 2010
Hey ya bunch of Cream PUFFs!!!!

Man, I love cream puffs... I love you family!!! What has everyone been up to the last week or so??? Any big news in the family?? Things here are going super well, as usual!!! Lots and lots of work being done in the Fleming park ward!!! I really have a hard time believing that today is again Monday!! That just seems to weird!! This week has been crazy we have had something big going on everyday!!! Monday = Pday, Tuesday = Zone Leader Council, Wednesday = District meeting, Thursday = Leadership Conference, Friday = District Meeting again...!!!! It has been all over the place!!! And we have had exchanges with other companionship's in between all that!!! Ha Ha... Some days i feel like my head is going to unscrew but it doesn't!! (Thank Goodness!!!) It is fun being a leader in the mission, I'm glad I haven't been a leader for most of my mission sometimes it seems like we only get a little proselyting time some days!! All day meetings and such!! I really am Loving it right now though!!! Got another picture from zone leader council again... Such a great group of goons!!! I Love our mission president, President Van Komen, it is so nice being able so see him so often!!! Great week!!

So besides all the meetings and missionary conferences and such.. we are teaching some pretty amazing people!! We have found a lot of new investigators that are really promising!!! In this area there are a ton of RLDS, Reorganized Latter day saints, or now know as the Community of Christ because they went bankrupt!!! So this week we got a referral for this RLDS family and they are from a branch of the Community of Christ... A branch form a branch and so on... They broke away because of the doctrine changing so much... Women holding the priesthood, No real study of the Book of Mormon and stuff like that. So we went over and gave them the item that was referred to them and it was such a cool experince talking with them!! Kind of hard to teach because we have all the same beliefs almost, Joseph Smith a prophet, Book of Mormon being the word of God!!! CRAZY!!! I Love them though, the Fleming Family. Way cool they even gave Elder Benson and I a hymnal from the RLDS church!!! We have a few of the same hymns... its funny that even some of the hymns have been altered!!! Super hard because they are so close to the truth!!! Such a great family, they actually knew the Book of Mormon really well unlike most RLDS, which is a good sign they are a break off of the RLDS!!! We are going back soon, I think we will focus on the Temple!!! They really don't share any of the beliefs on the temple and one of the family members is about to get married so that might be interesting for them!!! Ha Ha... "Hey would you like your marriage to last forever???" I LOVE this Doctrine!!!

Man, Speaking of Temples... this week we taught Diana about the temple, baptisms for the dead. She really loved it and said she would prepare to go to the temple!!! That is so cool to hear... It is so amazing to see a convert take that next step to the temple!!! Ahhh... I'm so excited to go to the temple more often when i get home. That something cool to look forward to!!! OH and i get to see you awesome Hooligans!!! I LOVE YOU ALL SO SO SO MUCH!!! I Love this work, it is the best and coolest thing ever to assist our Heavenly Father in his work and his glory!! Crazy he puts so much trust in 19-21 year old guys and 21 yr old+ gals to spread the gospel...Hey, He knows best!!! By small and simple things are great things brought to past.. to bring about the salvation of many souls!!!!! Have a great week family!!! I love you!!! Till next week, Elder Lance Murie

Hey There!

Mon, 13 Sep 2010
Hey family!

Things are still going really great here in Marion! Its crazy how fast time is going by! I can't believe it! Abby, Tara, and Keith are still all on for baptism! Keith hasn't had a cigerette since tuesday last week. Tara and Abby both quit yesterday! It's really excited! They are all doing amazing! It's cool becasue Abby's kids Zoey and Chloe are wanting to get baptized on October 9th with their mom! So we should be having 5 baptisms with in the next few weeks! I love seeing the change this gospel brings into peoples lives! The popcorn festival was really fun! It was draining though! Being there from 11-9 everyday for three days gets tiring! We seemed to have a lot of success from it! We ended up having 218 contacts, which means we taught them a principle of the gospel and commited them to do something. We had 53 people sign up for either copies of the Book of Mormon, Bibles, or DVD's. It was pretty cool. We had the other missionaries come out and help us which was cool because it's always great to see other missionaries! It was really cool! I bought this awesome shirt from the festival that says Peace, Love, and Popcorn! Haha... That was the theme! And they have a popcorn festival because they do have a popcorn factory out here. They even have a popcorn museam! Pretty sweet! I ate so much popcorn this last week though! It was good!

I got Rondee's wedding invitation this week! She is so beautiful! I am sad I am not there for the wedding! I wish I could be there! I miss her! Tell her I love her and wish I could be there! I hope you have fun at that!

I heard that Cheryl, Christi, and Cheri are all coming down! That should be fun! I wish I could also be there to see them. Gosh... I am missing all kinds of things! But I know that I need to be out here doing the work I am doing. It's just sad to miss so much sometimes!

I could kind of read the letter from the doctor. I have the others and so I will compare my levels over the last few times. I do not need any more pills! I have a ton! We bought like 500 before I left! 15 mg a day is only a pill and a half. So thats not horrible. I do have to go back in 6 weeks to get my blood drawn and go back to the doctor in 3 months. I think Nov. 30 was the date. Ugh... did you get anything back from the financial aid place. I mailed the thing in.

Transfers are this week and so I will let you know what happens. Most likely I will be staying in Marion but we will see! I love you all so much! Thanks for all the support you give me! I love you!

Love, Sister Madison Whitney

Hello from Sister Whitney

Tue, 7 Sep 2010
Hello Family!!

I have the best news ever!!! SISTER MISSIONARIES DON"T HAVE TO WEAR NYLONS ANYMORE!!! It's amazing! We got a letter in the mail today and they totally updated the Sister Missionary wear. Remember all the really ugly outfits in my call letter. Well, now they are cute and updated! It was a great letter. We no longer have to wear nylons and our skirts only have to cover the knee now! It's great! So no more buying knee highs! Super excited I hate those things! But anyways... besides that excellent news this has been an amazing week!

The lord is really blessing this area! We have 3 investigators with a baptisimal date! The first one is Abby. She is probably in her 30's. Abby has 3 kids: Zoey-10, Chloe-8, and Ian-5! She came to church for the 2nd week in a row. We watched the Joseph Smith Prophet of the Restoration dvd with her and then committed her to baptism on October 9th. She has a lot to overcome before then like smoking, coffee, and boyfriend. But she knows it's true and she wants to go forward! It's a little difficult for her because her family is anything but supportive! Her grandpa is a minister in another church and is really coming down on her but she just keeps telling him sorry and she knows this is what is right for her! She is amazing! Hopefully her and her 2 kids will all be getting baptized on Oct. 9th but it may take longer depending on the boyfriend thing... We will see.

We are also teaching Keith. Keith lives with his member brother Kevin and his wife Carla. They are an amazing family. We have been teaching him and we also watched the Joseph Smith dvd with him and when it was over he looked at us and said "I found my home!" It was so powerful! The spirit was so strong and he knew that this is what he needs to do. He has come to church twice and has a baptisimal date for September 25! He also has to quit smoking! But they are willing and the Lord will help them!

We have also been teaching Tara! She lives with a less active, Barb Rickerd! She is actually the one who texted you to get the brownie recipe! But we have been teaching her daughter and she loves it! She has read the entire first book of Nephi in 2 weeks! She hasn't been able to come to church because she works, but she has next sunday off and will be asking for all her sundays off or at least a later shift so she can come to church! She also has a baptisimal date for October 9th! It's amazing! I love seeing the gospel change peoples lives! I love serving a mission!

But that is pretty much how the work is going here in Marion! We are also working at a booth at the popcorn festival on thurs, friday, and sat. this week! Its pretty exciting!

The weather is pretty hot still. It's really annoying because the weather changes so fast here. It could be cold one day and hot the next! ugh...

We do have a Walmart in Marion! It's way nice. We can go everyweek now. It's just when I was in Greenfield we didn't have one and so we had to go into another area. My hair is doing fine I think. I should probably color it again soon but I still have color so I am doing fine. I do like my companion Sister Hulburt. She is really nice. We have different personalites and likes and dislikes and so sometimes that makes it difficult but she is nice.

I hope all is well with everything at home! I love you all so much! I miss you! But time is flying by! I can't believe I have been out 71/2 months! Crazy! I love you and keep you all in my prayers!

Love, Sister Madison Whitney

p.s. Write me letters!

Hi Family!!!

Whats up you lovely bunch of Goonies!?!?!? How was every ones Labor Day weekend??? Happy Birthday all yous getting to be a little bit older!!! Brenden, Rach, Ethan!!! You guys are the best... Hope you B-days are or were the best!!! Caprice and David, Happy Anniversary!!! 18 Years!!! That is so Amazing, So Crazy!!! I just got a card from Madie's parents and they just recently had their 25th anniversary!! That is the coolest thing ever!!! Congrats to many this week!!! Ahh it has been such a fast and crazy good week!!! DIANA got Baptized!!!! It was the coolest baptism ever!!! Man, Every baptism seems to be the coolest baptism ever!! It was Saturday morning, Elder Benson and I went in a bit early filled up the font and then Diana and the Shelleys got there and a lot of people made it to support Diana, which is way good!! Diana is 17 and it was way neat because the Young Womens leader gave her a bunch of YW thingys, yeah im kinda oblivious to all that but like a Personal Progress and a torch necklace. Then as part of the service the Young Women in the ward sang a song called "Daughters of God" it was powerful, Diana started to cry. It was amazing when she was actually baptized. Her and Bro. Shelley went down into the water and right when Diana grabbed Bro. Shelley's wrist she just started crying and crying, and then she went under the water and she just came up so Happy!!! And then just hugged Bro. Shelley and just kept crying and crying!!!! Sis. Shelley said she cried for like ten minutes before she came back to the service!!! Don't worry though these were those really really good cries!! Man, before the mission the only person i would make cry was Cody and now we try to make everyone cry, Ha Ha... This work is so FUN!!! :)

Ahhh... I Love this area!! Found out what is happening for my last transfer... Elder Benson and I will be staying together in the Fleming Park area for the next 5 weeks!!! Man, Mom you are so bad!! Not cool reminding me how many days left... That is way to weird!! Ha... Crazy!!! It is crazy in this area.. I think i told you we cover two units, A family ward and a singles branch. It was a little lame cause last week i was down at the singles branch for church cause we have the same times so we split... and i had to miss Diana's confirmation!!! I was so bummed out!! Then i was even more when i heard she got up and bore her testimony in the meeting!! That is so amazing!!! Ahh i wish i was there but yeah thats just kind of how it had to work out!!! So cool though... at the Independence Visitor's Center the had a mission president's fireside where recent converts can bare their testimonies.. And the Shelleys and Her went with us up there and she bore such a solid testimony on the Book of Mormon and knowing that Joseph Smith is a prophet!! Wow... its amazing teaching people and really finding out how much not what we taught but what the spirit has taught that person!!! I Love this work!!! Man, definitely going to be a amazing transfer!!! I'm going to make sure I Crushendo (spelling) the end of my mission. or in other words finish my mission at the top, be the best i can be!!! I LOVE you all so so much!! time is up today... but i will talk to you all next week!!! Kinda crazy i will only email home a few more times!!! Wowsers... Anywho... Much Love,

Elder Lance E Murie

Ps. Sister Whitney.. Have a Awesome week!! I LOVE YOU!!!

Easy like a Sunday Morning!!!!

Mon, 30 Aug 2010
My Dearest Familia,

Yup, its P-day again!! Well sorta, we went to the temple a couple of Saturdays ago...we get to make up for the time we took there so yeah... After email and shopping it will be a normal proselyting day, but Hey i get to write home... That's Awesome!!! How is everyone doing??? How is back to school going and such?? Sounds like things are going a Lil crazy back home... Cody is moved out... Wow 7 kids to take care of the last katrillion years, and now the last stinker is out of the house!!! Wowsers!!! So yeah crazy this week is transfers. On Tuesday we find out and on Thursday the switch or what not goes down!!! Crazy because its my last transfer!! AAAAAHHHHHH!!!! I start my last transfer this week. Do you know how insane that is??? I like missionary work, i think ill just miss my flight perhaps!!!! Oopsey!!! Ha Ha, Mom might kill me just a little bit!!! Im not sure what is going to happen here with Elder Benson and I, ( Not that I usually am sure ;)!!! ) Elder Benson has been in the area for 6 months now and i only have one left!!! Will he stay or will he go?? I hope I stay!!! I really Love this area!! The ward is awesome, The missionaries are so bomb, and the work is the best!!! So next p-day you will find out the dirty details on where and how Elder Murie will spend the end of his mission!!!! Weird!!!

This Sunday was pretty sweet!!! Yesterday both Elder Benson and I got to speak in Sacrament meeting!!! Elder Benson gave a talk on Christlike attributes and it was way way good!!! Elder Benson is a cheater though it runs in his family... President Ezra Taft Benson is like his Grandpa's brother!!!! So funny!!! My talk was on the "Roll" of the Book of Mormon. The topic gave to us meant to say the "Role" of the Book of Mormon, however they spelt it wrong!! Its was pretty funny... so I talked on both the Role of the Book of Mormon, and also on how the Book of Mormon Rolls!!! It was pretty good!!! I talked about how the Book of Mormon rolls all over the world, in over 100 different languages, from your scriptures at home to the cell phones in our pocket!! Just crazy!!! This truth will go to all the hidden places of the world!!! I LOVE THE BOOK OF MORMON!!! Today i was reading in Mosiah 26-27, about Alma the younger's conversion, it is just so powerful the things i continue to learn by reading!!! How simply and powerfully the Book of Mormon teach about Christ!!! It is the sweetest thing to share this Amazing Book!!!!!!!

I guess speaking of sharing this amazing book... Diana is getting baptized this week!!!! WOW!!! She is so solid, we are praying that everything will go to plan!!! She is doing great, we are trying to take her up to the Independence Visitors Center this week before the baptism!!! I will miss our visitors center when I go!!! :( Guess what... yesterday at church we got a picture mock up of the new Kansas City temple!!!! it looks so fly!!! I will try to send you a picture because it will be one Beautiful temple!!! Pretty big I think!!! Anyways... Im pretty much out of thyme.... both the seasoning and the amount of emailing i get!!! Ha Ha just kidding... Crazy Elder Murie..!!! I LOVE YOU ALL SO MUCH!! Have a good one!!! MUCH LOVE, Elder Murie

Ohhh Boy!!!

Mon, 23 Aug 2010
Hello Family!!!!

It seems like a pattern of getting on here and having so much stuff to tell you i don't even nowhere to start!!! These last few weeks have been insane crazy!!! So busy and so quick yet somehow Heavenly Father threw in so many amazing spiritual experinces!!! I have to start with telling you... We have someone commited for Baptism!!! It is such a amazing story... So we had another appointment with Diana (which in spanish sounds like Deanna) and it was amazing we talked about the plan of salvation and we followed up with her on if she had read the Book of Mormon and... She had!!! I kinda did a double take... Like wait you actually read it!! She is so Awesome!! She said when she read it she just knew what she was reading was true and the spirit was totally there... when she told us that we explained how important that knowledge was of knowing the B.of M. was true, cause if thats true Joseph Smith is a Prophet, Jesus Christ is the Savior and the Church of Jesus Christ of LDS is the Lord's Kingdom on earth!! Right there I invited Diana to follow the example of Jesus Christ and be baptized on the 4th of September... She was pretty hesitant and just told us she would have to pray about it. That was Monday... So we had a appointment also on Thurday and when we went over we started a normal lesson and followed up on her praying about baptism. She got really shy and kind of bashfull it was really funny cause we had no idea why she was acting that way... then she told us her story.

So I guess the member family that she lives with, the Shellys, decided to give there daughter a back to school blessing on Wednesday. They also invited Diana if she wanted to have one!! Diana agreed. So she said when she got her blessing she felt totally overcome by the spirit, she felt so at peace and warm. Then she said a soft voice told her she was going to be baptized on the 4th of September!! She said she thought maybe it was just all in her head and stuff, but then she heard it again, Your going to be baptized on the 4th of september!!! When she told us that story I almost jumped out of my chair it was so amazing!!! She is so prepared for the gospel!! We taught her law of Chastity and Word of Wisdom and she was like yeah i really like coffee but no more going to McDonalds for Cafe!!! She kinda cryed a bit having to give it up but she totally knows what we have taught is TRUE!!! I love the Holy Ghost!! It makes this super difficult job a lot easier!! It is so cool to see the spirit work in peoples lifes!!! So yeah, pray for Diana!!!

So yeah besides that... not much else going down... Oh i did go to St. Louis on saturday that was pretty big!! First time I've been to the temple in like a whole year!!! Gosh that seems like forever!!! Its cool though missionary work for the dead is great but right now im all about the "Live" ones!!! :) It was a sweet experince we went with some of Elder Benson's converts for baptisms for the dead!! It was really neat i got to be a part of the Confirmations and it was so funny because we confirmed a man named Joseph Smith!!! Oh yeah beat that!!! It was a very neat expernice!!! Journal Entry worthy!!! Don't worry im doing a bit better on the journal thing... its a hard goal to achieve!!! but a good one!!! Man such a great week, sounds like things are going well at home too!!! I miss you all so so so much!!! I Love you a bunch more though!!! Have a fantabular day and week!!!

Much Love family, Elder Lance Murie

What a week!!!

Mon, 16 Aug 2010
Hello sweet family of mine...

How is everything going for everyone??? I really am not sure where to start on how insane this week has been!!! So i guess i will start with the bulk of the week which is where all the juicy stuff is anyway!!! So Tuesday through Friday, 7:30am - 5:00pm, In Olathe, KS we had a mission wide leadership conference to learn the MTC curriculum!!! WOWSERS... Super busy super tight schedule... many missionaries stayed in Olathe and worked, we drove 45mins home everyday on Kansas City free-ways... Boy Howdy it was nuts!! Honestly though... The spirit at those meetings was so powerful, like we went to the School of the Prophets, or Kirkland dedication.... The things we learned and the skills that we practiced over and over again are INCREDIBLE!!! I wish some of the things i learned i would have known at the beginning of my mission!! Every evening when we came home and were able to teach for like 2 hours... were some of the most spiritual packed lessons ive had my whole mission!!! Everything we learned really was focusing on following the spirit and having everything we say come directly from Heaven!! Takes a lot of patience, quite and sometimes awkward pauses while teaching but it allowed for the questions, promise blessings, testimony and more, to come to our teaching "Heaven Sent"!!! I feel like a greenie again it is so crazy!!! The new Mtc stuff is amazing, it is used to help us apply Preach My Gospel better and it does exactly that!!! This week has been incredible!!! I wish you could have all felt the spirit that was there!!! Im not sure if Madie's mission has it yet but it was incredible!!! The missionaries in the field are learning it first and it will be put into the MTC in MAY 2011!!!! So sweet!!!

Yeah that has really been most of my week!! So so busy!! Well worth it!!! So yeah had like 32+ hours of church this week, pretty nuts!!! Saturday was amazing also... We did this service project in the community up in the ghetto of Kansas City... it was called "OPERATION BREAKTHROUGH"!!! We got to go to this warehouse and this "OB" group collects furniture of all sorts, tables, beds, desks, and more and gives them away to those in need in the community!! It was pretty fun!!! Mostly poor black people where there for help and we carried the stuff from the warehouse to their cars... The people were so nice to us and greatful!!! So sweet the kansas city news groups showed up and interviewed our mission president, and another elder... Like 3-4 different new groups... So later that evening we got a message from on of our investigators, "Hey we just saw you and Elder Benson on the news, thought we say that was pretty awesome" So yeah mama your son is big time on the TV now!!! HaHa that was so funny, So yeah you should look up on the eternet on Kansas City news, channel 9 or something, Operation Breakthrough... Saturday the 14th!!! Pretty Awesome!!! Its fun serving in the City area, people are just crazy!!!

Hhhhmmm... What else... Im not sure, is there any questions anyone in the family has?? I would Love to answer questions!!! We are teaching 3 of our investigators tonight... We have few that are very close and have such awesome spirits about them!!! I Love teaching people!!! This new lessons stuff we learned really takes us away from not teaching lessons but teaching people!!! It is Exciting!!! Crazy good week, Its been cool I've been around President Van Komen everyday since last Monday!!! That is pretty cool!!! Thats like one of my fav perks being a leader. I LOVE serving in the Missoura Independence Mission!!! The Greatest Mission in earth, the Center Stakes of Zion!!!! Thanks so much for your support everyone!!! I LOVE YOU SO MUCH!!! Everyone of yas!!! Always your brother in the Lord,

Elder Lance E. Murie

Another week, Another letter!!!

Monday August 9, 2010
Aloha "Hello"!!!!

Wowsers has this last week flown by!!! Another week gone.... yuck the days are going by way to fast!!! Its a great thing that the days are so stinking amazing though!!! Man this last week has been kind of nuts. Our mission just did a switch, we only have zone conferences every 3 months now... So this last week I had my last Zone Conference :( It was one of the best zone conferences I've been to though.. the spirit was so so strong!!! Yeah so this week should be a lot like ZC's though!! Tuesday through Friday, 7:30am-5:00pm everyday we are going to be at a big leadership training, I guess there are new teaching methods on like how to use Preach My Gospel and stuff like that.. so yeah not really for sure about everything but it should be Amazing!!! I guess its like the new curriculum that will be taught in the MTC in May and they just want everyone in the field to know whats up first i guess!!! Pretty sweet!! Kinda crazy because we will have like no proselyting time this week!! Thats a little loco!!!!

Yeah so this week has been pretty packed!!! Saturday was pretty sweet.. The Kansas City Stake had a Emergency Preparedness Fair for like all the community to take part in!!! There were like 15-20 different groups, like red-cross, fire department, wal-mart??? (they got there hand in everyones cookie jar, (: ), there was also military and much more!!! It was cool the missionaries in the zone came and we set up a table/booth and talked a lot about the importance of strong families and had a bunch of supplies to pass out, it was Great!!! Lots of people came through, like 200 or so, pretty good for being at the church house, it was the nice new stake center!! It was sweet because Whiteman Air force base is pretty close by and they came and landed a Apachee helicopter in the church parking lot!!! So Crazy!!! Jealous Louie??? Yeah I talked to a lot of non-members who came to check the fair out just because there was a helicopter in the lot!!! We should totally have it land there on Sundays and get a whole bunch more people to stop by for sacrament meeting!!! That would be pretty legit!!! ha ha...

Anywho lots going on, tons of small and simple things working mighty miracles!!! Teaching a few new great investigators, Deanna, she is 17 yrs old and speaks mostly Spanish. She just moved in with a member family and is way interested!! We dropped off some Fun-Fetti cookies to a Part member family and they came to church this week!! That was pretty sweet.. oohhh the power of Fun-fetti!!! Im just loving the work, and working hard!!! Go out with a huge bang and just continue to improve when i get home!!! Thank you so much for the package!! I love everthing, especially the oil vile!!! Much needed, thanks... I already lost the little black one Madie and Allison got for me... Sorry im a clutz!!! I Love you guys!!! Thats cool you had a trip to Cali, cool happy 18th present!! Very nice!!! No lie the Missoura trip would have been a lot cooler if it had some ocean to play in!!! Good thing theres no beach here or I'd be all up in it, J.K. ... it has been like 100 degrees with like 95% humidity!!! AKA "DEATH" haha yeah little Insane if you ask me!!! Can't wait for the cool air to come in!! Anyways I need to get on with the getty on!!! Enjoy P-day everyone!! Don't get to crazy... I LOVE YOU ALL SO MUCH!!!!

LOVE,
ELDER LANCE E. MURIE

Sister Whitney Got Transferred!!!

Monday August 9, 2010
Hello Family,

Crazy week! Tuesday night was transfer calls and I got the call that I needed to start packing. Wednesday I packed and said my goodbyes to Greenfield! It was really tough saying goodbye! I love the people so much and they are like my family now. I started crying a few times saying goodbye. But I know that Heavenly Father has sent me where I needed to go. Thursday moring we stuffed all of my stuff into the back of the car and headed to Columbus. We got there and transfers started. I got paired up with Sister Hulburt in the Marion area! Sister Hulburt is from Seattle, Washington. She has been serving for 3 months now. She is a really cute girl! It was crazy coming into Marion because it is my second area. I am now the Senior Companion and the driver all in a new area! It was kind of stressful because Sister Hulburt didn't know her way around Marion and so we have been using a lot of maps. Marion is also full of one way streets and so that is difficult to get used to. I didn't really want to drive either. I would rather sit in the passenger seat and relax but it's ok. I drive a 2008 chevy malibu. It's a pretty nice car. Marion is a branch. It has about 80-90 active members. They are trying really hard to become a ward. Something cool about Marion is that it is the oldest branch in the church right now. It was also started by Elder L. Tom Perry when he was serving a mission. He said that when they become a ward he will come back. It would be really cool if it would become a ward when I was here! I would love to see Elder Perry! It's pretty great being in this new area! The branch members seem really sweet and have a desire to work hard. We also get free pizza from Cici's Pizza whenever we want! I love it! Hmmm... I think that is about all I know about Marion.

My address is 251 Barks Road West
Marion, OH 43302

We are also having a baptism this Saturday! Well most likely, he has to have his baptisimal interview but after he passes that he is good to go! It is Leanard Murphy. He is 24 and is really awesome! He knows it's true and has been investigating for about 2 months so it's excited that I am able to participate in the baptism!

If you have any questions just ask me!

I am doing fine on my pills! I have plenty! I did get your note and money! Thank you! Also thank you for making Brigham and Caleb write me! I loved getting their letters! It's nice to get letters from my little brothers! I will definatly keep Barbara in my prayers! I have been hoping to get a letter from her! I miss her!

I am so thankful for all that you do for me! I love you guys so much! I am so grateful to have a family that loves eachother and cares for eachother! I am really so grateful to be serving a mission! It has really helped me learn so much! I know that I will never regret the experience! I love you!

Love, Sister Madison Whitney

August IS HERE!!!!

Monday August 9, 2010
HHMMM... We Meet Again!!!

Wow, i can't believe it is already MONDAY!!! You have no idea how fast this last week went!!! Sad that the days fly by so quick, but its cool because the days have been so packed with goodness!!! I can't believe i only have 75 days!!! Yeah thanks a ton for that information, You guys can get trunky but whoa Elder Murie's mind is way to fragile for that kind of information!!! Just kidding, I think im doing pretty great!!! Working so so hard!!! Im praying the end of my mission can continue to be a big climax of my mission and that it will continue to be a incline of righteousness for the rest of my LIFE!!! Oh there is so much good going on right now!!! Deffinetly still super hard days but things are going really well!! We are teaching a few really great people, mostly part member families.... Steven Sheen.. a active RLDS member has been coming the last few weeks... it kinda hard because i still haven't met him!! So weird... so we have a bunch of exchanges we organize where ether Elder Benson or I swap comps with another companionship for a day... Way fun but still hard to get to know the area when your gone like 2-3 days a week out of it!!! But yeah we are also teaching a guy named Jack Todd, totally two first names, he is really promising. He really likes everthing we are teaching and has some really great member fellowship he is really close to!!! We get to teach him today!!!

So yeah i totally neglected to tell you i cover two wards here, well Fleming Park ward and the Kansas stake singles branch. Thats another reason i have missed seeing some investigators at church!! :) It was really different serving in the singles branch.. Church was pretty funny, recently return missionaries as Elder quorum presidents and its funny, are ward mission leader is like so chill. Its kinda slow but really cool to see a ward with younger leaders!!! Young adults really have missionary work on their mind too which is so cool to see!!! Does La Verkin stake do a singles ward or do they go to St. George or something??? Thats kinda weird!!! Im not even sure what ward i want to be in when i get home?? I'll just worry about that later!!! LOCO!!!

So yeah, Things are great in my neck of the woods. Caprice it was awesome to get your email. that is so cool about josh going to EFY!! I totally wish i would have gone!!! Good Luck in the new house!!! Be sure to dedicate it soon!!! I Love walking into a members home that has been dedicated and you can totally feel the spirit!!! I totally pray that my future home can feel that way!! Clean and Peaceful!!! Just a safe haven!!! Yeah my comp is amazing, we work our tails off and i make him have a bunch of fun doing it!!! We had Zone leader council tuesday, where the mission leaders gets together and discuss the mission goals, it was so powerful and awesome!!! I Love working closer to the mission president, President Van Komen, he is so fun!!! We took a picture i attached to here, he emailed it to me do you think you could save it somehow for me??? We did one normal and one "Silly" as President Van Komen would say!! The highlight of the week was seeing him press the timer button on the camera and running down the stairs across the room to be in the picture!!! So hilarious... I have never seen him run and it is a beautiful sight!!!! Ha ha Family you are beautiful sight!!! Can wait to see you all!!! Until then keep on trucking and remember who you are!!!! I LOVE YOU ALL!!!!

Always yours,
Elder Lance Murie

New Area!!!

Mon, 26 Jul 2010
Hey yall Whipper Snappers!!!

Wow has this last week flown bye!!! It is Crazy in my new area... So much different from Clinton, or Valley Center were i spent my last year almost!!! I feel almost dizzy with how much more people we get to talk to & how less of travel time it is to get places!!! I've gone from Tractors, Gardens and Slaying Roosters to Apartments everywhere, and much more Word of wisdom and Law of Chastity problems!!! Aahhh it is such a change!! A great change though!!! My new comp is awesome!!! His name is Elder Jordan Benson, he is from Logan, UT. He has been out just a little under a year, he is super fun though!!! We have been working our tails off!!!! We where in Clinton also, just it was a lot like fishing.... it took a long time to get to and from the lake to find success. And here there are people everywhere and not a lot of traveling!! Its like having your line in the water all day long!! So to answer some of your questions... The Ward I'm in is the Fleming Park ward, in the Kansas City Stake!! So the breakdown is a zone is another name for a stake in this mission, and the mission covers 11 stakes, there are about 8 missionaries in a district and two districts in a zone... so 16 in the zone!!! Hope that madness makes sense... The city I'm actually in is Blue springs, Kansas City suburb... and its in Missouri!!! So yeah pretty much KC, MO!!! My new address is 903 S.W. Hampton CT. #8, Blue Springs, Mo, 64015... So yeah.. I love when the cup runneth over in the letter department... Can't wait to hear from ya!!! (:

Yeah i don't really know what else to say.. I have only been here in the area a few days and only met like one of our investigators, and found a couple new ones!!! Pretty neat!!! On Transfer day we all met in Independence and transferred, right after we took a investigator through the Independence Visitors Center... the Sister missionaries gave tours and stuff... It went really great!!! Im really liking this area already, i though i was kinda city boy but i really miss the country life now that im gone from it!!! It was hard but good leaving Elder Davis in Clinton. He kind of struggles and gets down on him self at times!!! I realized it would be a hassle to bring home my bike, so i gave it to him!! I could have sold it but I'm good with my "mission son" cruising around on my sweet Burn-a-dean!!! That was her name... Burn-a-dean!!! I hate goodbyes!!! Yeah i also am no longer carring my Winter stuff anymore... My Coat and Shoe covers... Elder Davis also didn't have that so I sold it to him for like 20 bucks... He really needed them and hopefully I won't regret that in the future!!! ;) I still have a ton of stuff probably more than 50 lbs a suitcase when I come home so yeah you will probably get a couple packages in the next couple of months!! Please when i send it don't go through everything and tear it apart!!! That would be no bueno!!!

Anywho, yeah... new calling same work!!! Not much really changes with Zone Leader which is cool. Find, Teach and Baptize!! We do get to do like 10+ exchanges with missionaries which is super cool!!! We go to more meetings with mission President, Stake meetings and such, we just have to try being a great example of obedience, diligence, etc... I'm not to shabby at it but Im sure i got the call to improve in all those areas!!! I definitely feel very excited, and very over my head, prayers are much appreciated!!!! I Love you all so much!!!! You guys are always in my Prayers!!! Have a great week!! Much Love,

-Elder Murie

Ps. My 3 points of advice from a member in Clinton as I said goodbye!!! (HAD TO SHARE)
1. Don't trust whitey!!!
2. God Loves a working man!!!
3. And if you get it... Get rid of it!!!

Transfer news

July 20, 2010
Hey Mother and Family... I got some news about transfers...

President Van Komen gave us a phone call and said that Elder Davis would be getting a new companion here in Clinton and that I would be going to Kansas City zone to be a Zone Leader with a Elder Benson... Pretty insane i really wasn't expecting even leaving and now i am a Leader in a whole new area... Crazy now i get to go pack all my stuff and move about a hour away!!!! Pray for me, I never expected this calling. Really weird because Ive never been a disrict leader kinda just hopped it!!! But yeah... I'll go where he wants me to go!! Ahhh.. Okay, I needs to get back to working, I LOVE YOU ALL!!!! Take care... Love, Elder Lance Murie

Happy Birthday Cody!!!!

July 19, 2010
Happy Birthday Cody-man!!!!

Can you believe possible in one more year no one will call Cody by his first name!!! He could hear Elder Peterson every where he goes!!! At least thats a little easier to prenounce then Murie!!! Only a select few can always remember how to sat it right!!! Yesterday a Mother in the ward said she had read her 10 yr old daughters journal about Elder Merry killing there rooster for them!!! So yeah... Elder Murray, Merry, whatever... I'll turn around to Elder!!! It will be super weird to not introduce my self as Elder Murie, I probably do it like a billion times a day it seems!!! I love meeting new people all the time!!! Man this week has been very very hecktic and busy!!! I can't believe transfers are this week!!! So yeah about being picked up in Oct. I totally understand if you can't take the time off.. I was really looking forward to it, however i totally understand not getting the time off... Im for sure coming back soon... even if it means walking back!!!! So if Im going to fly back just go ahead and tell the mission office and that will work out great!! Stinks that we can't do it but I am also excited to fly home with all the Elders i came out with and come home and see family!!!

So im not really sure where to start telling you about how great this last week has been... I guess I'll start with the Juicy Stuff!!! As you can see from the attached pictures.. Antwon and Lauren got Baptized!!! This Saturday went so amazingly well!!! We had a couple small problems with white jumpsuits and stuff but it was such a spiritual baptism!!! Both Antwon and Lauren were so excited!! It was so sweet cause Lauren got baptized by her friend and fellowship Brad Stock.. It was a amazing baptism!!! And I got to Baptize Antwon... it was so cool while we were in the font waiting for the font doors to open Antwon said to me.. "Man i just can't stop smiling!!!" It was so amazing seeing this young woman and young man so filled with the spirit, you could just see on their faces how happy they were!!!! Yesterday at church they had their confirmations and Elder Brunner wasn't able to come back to do the confirmation for antwon like the Leans and Antwon wanted so they asked me to confirm Antwon and Lauren was Confirmed by Brad's dad, Dennis Stock!!! Wow the spirit felt in sacrament meeting was unbelievable!!! It is most definitely true that the Holy Ghost is a foretaste of Eternal Life and Eternal Happiness!!! Oh i wish you all could have been here in the small Clinton ward this week!!! Beautiful Services!!!!

So I sent a few pics, hopefully they turn out, Some are of Amiee's Baptism, Antwon and the Leans, Lauren's Baptism and silly ole me!!! It was really cool, the dress you see Lauren wearing she made last week for her baptism!!! I Love this area!!! Transfers are this Thursday and i might have to talk to President if he tries to transfer me!!! J.K. "I go where you want me to go dear Lord" Got to always keep that in mind when it comes time for transfers!!! Elder Davis and I are doing Okay... I really have a hard time some days, he is definitely different, its hard because he does really weird stuff in front of the members at appointments and stuff....I am really just working on Patience he will learn it just takes him a few times to learn things and im to the point of breaking down i get so stressed!!! I know just keep smiling right??? D&C 121... has deffinetly saved my life!!! You all have saved my Life, Mom, Cody, Madie.. everyone Thank you for everything you do for me!!! I know its your prayers that have made this crazy stressful week so eternally rewarding!!! I Love YOU GUYS!!!! Have a Awesome day everyone!!! Your always in my prayers!! LOVE YA>>>>>>>>>ELDER LANCE MURIE

Ps. You have a Birthday shout Hooray.... Love you Cody... Happy 18th, keep your eyes open for some mail this week!!!

Twistin Tornada!!!!

Jul 12, 2010
Hello everyone!!!

Wow it has been one of those mornings... Yesterday we had some weather issues and shut off the power and we reset the clock wrong last night... woke up late.. and been mad rushed to get everything planned in... Blahh.... It was insane yesterday!!! So after church about 1 pm we went out with the Elders Quorum on a "Lost Sheep" activity to meet those in the ward we have no idea are or in need of help... So it was great and we did splits and my comp went with a brother and i went with our Ward Mission leader... about 30 minutes later the clouds turned black purple and I looked out the car window and saw what looked like a wall of rain come at us and hit us so hard!!! We were in Calhoon about 10 minutes from Clinton.. Elder Davis was in Clinton... The rain was so bad the wipers barely worked and we had to pull over or go super super slow!!! When we finally got back into Clinton part of the town looked like a tornado touched down... I guess no one saw a funnel but the winds were like 85-95 plus i think and there are limbs in every yard and yesterday full trees blocking roads!! The road next to us there was a giant tree that feel on a house and smacked the side of house and demolished half the house!!! INSANE!!!! So yeah it was clear when we got to church, this hit, then i cleared up and was Beautiful again that evening!!! Being the weather guy here would really be stressful... Heavenly Fathers always playing jokes on ya!!! Oh yeah you think its clear skies!!!

So yeah besides our little trashed town not to much going on.. just trying to find, teach, and baptize!!! We made the decision to bike this last week, it seems like in the car you never talk to very many people. So we got my comp a bike and we hit the streets of clinton!! Man even the city is spread out!!! But we did talk to a lot of peole!! We even got off the bikes and played some basketball with these ghetto looking guys, after we walked with him back to his home and talked about the restoration.. It was a pretty sweet day!! Biking kills in this heat but if it helps us find and fulfill our purpose better im good with it!!! Hey guess what i just heard this week... You know one of the other elders i trained, Elder Cameron Jacobs... We i guess he went home a couple of month or so after i served with him.. Im not sure the reason, I think girlfriend issues but i heard he is getting married to his girlfriend Bethany!!! I dont have way to contact him, i guess ill just facebook him when i get home.. Sad but cool to hear he is doing better!! I Loved serving with Elder Jacobs!!! Cody you should try to find him on facebook or myspace for me... he is from showlow, AZ and is 19 or 20 yrs old!! Tell him i say "Hi and I love him" if you can!!! Please, please that would be awesome!!!

Well, I love you all!! Time is short... Im super excited for this week!! Probably lots of service cleaning up some limbs and stuff, and on Saturday we have a duo Baptism with Lauren Pearson and Antwon Burton!! Pray all goes well!!! Ill tell you about it all next week!! Have a Awesome, Fabtabulous day!!! I LOVE YOU GUYS AND DOLLS!!!!! See ya soon.... Elder Lance Murie

Ps. Never let the fear of Striking out, keep you from playing the game!!!

Very Nice!!!

Dear Family of mine,

Good Morning everyone!!! How is everyone doing??? How was the Independence day weekend??? Things are going pretty fast and crazy but that is kind of the normal everyday thing for us... staying way busy and having fun doing it!!! Our Independence day weekend was pretty fun, On the 3rd we went to the Clinton parade and watched the Young men and women in the ward on the float they made.. We gave them a bunch of pass-a-long cards and they handed them out throughout the parade!!! Very Cool!!! Then a little later last Saturday we had Amiee Manuel's Baptism!!! It was a very spiritual service, short and sweet... It was cool that all of Amiee's non-member family came.. Her older sisters and her mom and step-dad!! They aren't way interested but the service really brought the spirit strong and they did soften up by the end of it!!! The coolest part was when i was in the water with Amiee performing the baptism.. her Mom was at the top of the steps telling Amiee how proud she was of her and crying!!! So much different than many other parents of investigators we are teaching!!! On girl we are teaching, Delani, She was heading out for church this week and her dad stopped her right at the door and said she couldn't come anymore.. the advesary works so hard with some people and its crazy how hard he hits the family!!! Delani can keep taking the lessons but will probably have to wait till she turns 18 if she wants to be baptized!!! We are praying her parents soften their hearts!!!

Right now we have two more investigators set for baptism in the month of July... there is Antwon on the 15th... and Lauren on the 17th!! Guess what... Lauren now that she is joining the church has been excommunicated from Jehovah's Whitness and her family is not allowed to communicate with her anymore... Pretty nuts!!! She really has helped my testimony grow, just like most early converts of the church.. they left everything they knew and many were disowned by there families.. But they stand tall and firm because they know this is Heavenly Father's kingdom on earth!!! She is so excited to be baptized!! She has the whole program already planned and everything it is sweet!!!! Plus even though her family isn't supposed to talk to her its cool cause her dad, a former member of our church, still calls and talks to her... I think he really supports her dicision which is really amazing!!! Antwon is doing great, we are teaching him a little later today... he is such a super funny kid!!! He is excited to be baptized, its funny teaching him because he gets distracted so we have to get his focus and make sure he understands... He is deffintly a goonie!!! Its Awesome they set a baptism date and called us and said "Do you think the 15th will work???" ahhh yeah that would be great!!! So Sweet.. I love the Lean family and Antwon!!!

So about end of mission stuff...I really want you to come out and pick me up!!! I think that would be the sweetest thing eva!!!! I really would love to show you some of the things in my mission!! Even if it is a short, rushed trip!! I would Love to show Cody, Rick and You things I have been doing the past two here!!! You should tell me the days we will have... like friday- sunday or what?? That way i can plan a bit!!! I Love this mission!!! Missouri Independence is like the Crown Jewel of missions... Deffinetly #1!!!! I bet Ohio is like right behind it and such but seriously... The Savior's second coming is in this mission, Liberty jails here, Independence... Oh so good!!! Ha ha I Love you Madie, Ohio Columbus rules too!!! I need to get going kinda a big day planned and needs to get started on it!! Thanks for everything you do for me!!  I LOVE YOU ALL!!! Have a great week.. thanks for all your prayers!!!! I know that i feel the help and support from the prayers, Much Love, TTFN!!!

Super Sweetness!!!

June 28, 2010
Hello Mi Famila!!!!

Wow this has been one of those weeks where i couldn't write a hundreth part of how jam packed it was!!! Great & Awesome days to Hard and Strug-doggin days!!! We have been some busy busy missionaries!!! Mama, I would Love to have you guys come and pick me up in October if you are able to... At first i was a little hesitant because i couldn't wait to get home for the two kisses when i got there... 1st Kissing my sweet Madie, and 2nd Kissing the ground giving thanks to be home!!! However, now My Madie is on her mission so there goes kiss #1, and kiss #2 kinda seems less important the longer your out!!! So yeah I would love to spend a couple of days out here with everyone, There is a few church sites we could see like Independece VC, and Liberty Jail, Adam-ondi-omin, Far west temple grounds, the new temple site, and more and more.... I would really like to interduce you to some of the people i have taught and members i got really close with!! This may be that only chance if you know what im saying!!! So, yeah i would Love for the ride home from you mom!!! That is so stinking cool!!!!

So I have some even more stinking cool news to share... Amy Manuel, she is a ten yr old, she is so awesome, and shes getting baptized on the 3rd!!! This Saturday!!! Yesterday at church she and her Aunt were running around asking those they wanted to give talks and prayers at the service and they came up to me and asked me to Baptize her!!! I am so excited for her she is such a super smart kid!!! Even her Aunt is like how the heck do you already know so much??? She is so humble and fun!!! Boo-yah thats awesome!!! The other 10yr old Antwon has kinda been struggling he would already be baptized just his mom is a bum... Thats not great to say but she really neglects Antwon and we went over this week and he called her and tried to get her to come visit him and she just lightly blew him off!! Ahhh her own son!!! I just don't get some people sometimes!! Antwon took it pretty hard and has kinda had a ruff week!!! His Aunt sister Lean ( the one that called you father's day) she is awesome and trys to do the best things for him and its hard without his own moms support!!! It will be better though!!! yesterday we had one of the greatest experinces of my mission!!! We gave Lauren Pearson, the 18yr old weve been teaching, a Church Tour a new thing our mission has been pushing to show people the church... Anyways Lauren has already been to church and such but we really felt it would be a good idea, so we went yesterday and taught as we showed them the chapel and paintings of the savior... then came the big guns... We opened the well lighted baptismal font and we had some chairs set up in front of the font and taught about baptism!! We taught about Authority and that Jesus set the example for us to follow!! Then told her we were preparing to fill the font and have a baptismal service on the 17th of July and challenged her to prepare to be baptized on that date and follow Christ's Example!!! Then guess what she said.... "YES!!!" She was so excited!! Something was holding her back before and we had been praying to find out what that was and I know she got the answer last night... IT was Crazy Spiritual!!!! Heavenly Father's hand is really everywhere in this work!!! Clinton, MO,... Greenfield, OH.... even lil ole LaVerkin, UT!! I love my Savior!!! His work is so worth it!!!

So I am going to bid you farewell, Today we are going to go have lunch and play basketball with one of my recent converts, D.J Greeener!!! I told you i saw him at walmart and since he is now moved super close, like 10 mins outside the ward boundries, he is coming to hang out on P-day this week!!! He might even be moving out to Utah!!! I will tell you more later!!! I LOVE YOU all so so much!!! Please if someone could tell me if Madie was transfered that would be amazin!!! I love yall!!! Bye Bye for now!! LOVE ELDER LANCE MURIE

P.s. "ppppsssttt, Sister Whitney, I LOVE YOU!!!"

Madison's Letter

June 28, 2010
Hello Family!

Great News! I am still serving in Greenfield! I am only in a companionship now! I am serving with Sister Parry still! I love her so much! She is a wonderful companion and we have so much fun together! I am super excited for this next 6 weeks in Greenfield! I know that we are going to accomplish so much! We have been doing really good in the area. I can't even remember what I have and haven't told you about! I am pretty sure I told you about Sandy and Shelby. They both got Baptized on the 18th of June! They are doing really great! We are teaching a few people but not a lot. You know what they say about your teaching pool after you have baptisms. Your teaching pool drains with the font! But it is well worth it because instead of Investigators to teach we have recent converts! But we are working a lot with Less Actives and we are going to be going through the area book and look up all the former investigators. Hopefully we will be able to get more investigators! The main people we are working with at this point is Megan Southward, Beulah Hales, Dawn and Shawn Smith, and well a few others. Beulah is 83! She is so cool! She even feels drawn to the Mormons but is comfortable at her church and so she doesn't want to leave. But we are really working with her. Dawn and Shawn are great! They just have a hard time coming to church because her husband is a truck driver and he is only home on the weekends and so she want's to be able to spend time with them.

The Zoo was so much fun! It was just cool to get out of the area! And everything is just so much cooler when you're a missionary! We were able to go with our District and Zone Leaders which made it way fun! I took a billion pictures! I am actually going to be sending a package home in the next week or so with some stuff I don't need to carry around with me. It will have me S.D. card in it and so if you will make a couple of C.D's of it and then send it back that would be great! And my companion want's one of the C.D.'s and so if you could make an extra one for her that would be great! So if you haven't sent the package you are going to be sending me don't send it yet. Until I can get you mine. Also I might need a few more garments. I would like 2 more mesh bottoms and 2-4 tops. I am not sure what size or anything and so I will let you know in the package. I am also out of hairspray if you have room in the package. If not I will just buy some at Wal-Mart next time that we go. Not a big deal! But I will definatly try and send that package on Wednesday or Thursday when we get more money for July!

The weather out here is insane! It is in the high 90's and it's so humid! It's crazy because they have the most random rain storms ever! Yesterday it was sunny and then we were eating dinner and this crazy hurricane rain started falling and then in an hour it was all clear and sunny again! We did get a little window air conditioner on Saturday! It is so much nicer! It was getting to be 87 in our apartment. Now only the bedroom is cold but that's just were we do everything now. I can't believe Brigham is driving! That's scary! Ha-ha...

Alright... I have to go. But I love you so much! I hope all is going good at home! I love you and miss you all so much! Remember to always read your scriptures and say your prayers!

Love, Sister Madison Whitney

Hello from Clinton!!!

Howdy Sweet sweet Family!!!

Well another crazy crazy week in the life of a Missouri Missionary!!! With the Heat and the Humidity Im kinda a Misery Missionary... But honestly it is going pretty stinking well!!! Elder Davis and I kinda had a first bumpy week, I think the difference between MTC and the Field kinda threw him off a little bit, and this week has been a lot smoother and more fun!!! He is kinda relaxing a little you could say and seeing that "oh yeah missionary work is fun too!!" Man this work would be so hard if you didn't laugh at things and have a good time serving!!! So yeah Elder Davis and Elder Murie, the southern Utah boys, are doing great!!!! My third born in the wilderness!!! I got a letter from my trainer Elder Braghini!!! So sweet!!! Crazy to think im training at this time in my mission when he did the same with me like ummm.. um... 20 months ago, at the end of his mission!!! So Awesome!!! He is doing great by the way.. School, work and looking for a PEC (Potential Eternal Companions)!!!! How is Sam Force been doing?? It would be great if i could get a address for him whereever he is???

Mom.. Thank you so much for the Card and everything last week, I got the Pin and activated it... Today im going to buy some shoes... It will be about $40 on the card!!! It was sweet getting Madie's Email in the mail and hearing all her awesome news!!! I LOVE hearing about my amazing, beautiful, smokin hot Sister Whitney!!! Im not even sure its legal to call a sister missionary "Smokin Hot" but it is important to be honest in word and deed so i will leave it like that!!! It was a good week for mail... Thank You everyone!!! that makes a ole missionary happy!!! I can just hear Louis right now in my head, "Back in my day we used not have the internet to email home everyweek lotte dotte dah..." J.K. LOVE ya LOU!!! I Love my Awesome Family, I miss you all like crazy!!! It was so cool that Sister Lean in the ward hear was able to call you mom and wish you Happy Fathers Day for me!!! You pretty much played both roles during my life so yeah i think the day goes to you in my eyes!!! I LOVE YOU MOM!!! And "Yes", Of course I have a good ear you can talk off for a while when i get home!!! I mean Preach my Gospel has a good section on Listening so ill have to study that diligently right before i get home!!!

So yeah other just the crazy news and such.. We commited Amy Wood for Baptism on the 3rd of July!!! This girl is pretty awesome, only 10-11 yrs old and she is super super smart!!! Scary... The other 10 year old Antwon is the exact opposite, easly distracted and takes a while to understand.... Both Awesome in their own way!!! Antwon should be getting Baptized really soon also, He is Sis Lean's nephew that lives there with them, We just need to get Antwons Mother more involved and get her down here from Kansas City for the Baptism!!! IT should happen super soon, at least thats what we are praying for!!! Like i said a lot of Investigators so close to making the amazing covenant of Baptism!!! I LOVE this work, I so wasted tired at the end of everyday, but everything that we do that makes me so tired is so eternally worth it!!! I wish you could all be here and see this awesome ward and investigators!!! I really pray that i die in this area!! or in more normal words.... finish my misson here!!!! Well family time is running short and i will have to get a going!!! I LOVE you all so much, have a Awesome week!!! Madie I LOVE YOU, thanks for the tape!!!

Much Love, Elder Lance Murie

Yeah Boy!!

Hello my Crazy, hooligan filled, Family

Thank you so much mom for getting all the details worked out on the card and everything!!! Your are pretty amazing!!! This last week has been pretty incredible!!! We taught 30 Lesson/People!!!! The most i have taught on my whole mission and the work is getting better and better!!! It is kinda crazy i am training again... Three times is way to many!!! One is too many, it can be a hard time let me tell ya!!!! Elder Richard Grant Davis from St. George is a pretty amazing missionary!!! Its cool having a green missionary because it seems like they bare the most solid testimony and don't even know it!!! It has been a hard start to the transfer, Elder Brunner and I have just been tearing it up and having a ton of success and Elder Davis and I have been contiuing in the work and Im kinda getting the "know it all" syndrome going back and forth between both of us!!! Again im training a older missionary, he is like 24, and I know i have to humble my prideful booty, because he has a lot of great ideas!!! Im just kinda frustrated right now, i guess stresed out!!! He is kinda nerdy and a bit slower than most!!! Just trying to get rid of contention, Please pray for me!!! Its hard training new missionaries!! Seriously Elder Davis is a awesome, we are doing great work just we do not make decisions together well!!! Blah, Blah...

Anyways I really don't have a lot to update on... We have been running around like mad men and finding a lot of people to teach!!! Kinda crazy having a new missionary and getting let in so many doors!!! I guess thats why im having a tuff time is we are having a ton of success right now and my comp isn't satisfied and is complaining... but yeah!!! Lauren, Amy, Antwon, the Hilario family, we have like a whole teaching pool on the verge of baptism and they just need a spiritual tap to fall into the font!!! Seriously the people we are teaching are changing their lifes and it is amazing to see the work progressing!! I am finding so much JOY in teaching!!! We are really working on being full time teachers!!! The members have been helping us so much and we have really see the Lord hand in this area!!! So yeah... I will totally keep you updated on all the people we are teaching!!! I have finally started replacing the things ive lost, i got a watch today, a wallet, i might need to get another oil vile sent to me for consicrated oil?? Im not sure yet!!! Anyways we better get going.. short letter today I will right more next week!!! I LOVE YOU all so much!!!! Keep us in your prayers we deffinetly need it!!! I Miss you all so much!!! MUCH LOVE,

LANCE MURIE

Ps. Madie, I LOVE & MISS YOU LIKE CRAZY!!!!

Hey Yall Family!!!

June 7, 2010
Hello Everyone!!!
Crazy how fast this week has gone by and that this transfer is already over!!!! We should be getting transfer calls tommorrow so i will try to keep you updated!!! So there are like a billion photos attached on to this email i hope you enjoy!!! It has been pretty crazy here lately, lots of work to be done!!! In the pictures it shows the hugemongest garden we planted, The evil rooster and the victorious outcome, one with 10 yr old Antwon and a few more crazy ones!!! Man this week has been a wierd one.. We didn't have the car this week in our giant area, it was in the shop getting fixed from being backed into... so yeah a bit different asking for 100 rides and the ward was awesome about helping us!!! It was weird cause we had appointments that seemed so close like 5-10 miles away and without a car they some how get to be a lot futher away!!! ha ha It all worked out!!! We have a few new awesome investigators that are pretty solid!!! I love Member refferals!!! And Antwon, who is in the picture with us out by our car, He should be getting baptized this week on Saturday!!! I say should because it might have to be moved if his family can't make it, they have to get off work, yeah its kinda been a pain!!!

So about my wallet, im still trying to find out about the SS card and everything, other than that i have cancelled my cards and have like absolutely no money yet, I havn't got your letter yet but i will keep my eye out for it!! Thank you so much for the help mom!!! I will keep you updated on the news!! no sign of the wallet yet though... we are going back up to Warrensburg today to spend P-day with the zone so hopefully since that is where i lost it I will be able to spend some time trying to find it!!! Pretty frustrating week without it!!! Its okay no worries mate!!! The Lord provides!!!

So with the work going amazinly, the crazy wallet situation, things are going pretty good out here in Clinton!!! Tuesday we went and took care of the evil rooster!!! It was one crazy intense safari rooty hunt!!! The weapon we used was a frog gig or pretty much a mini harpoon!!! It is awesome because now the Hill's kids when they go outside to play they don't just go sit on top of the dog house cause they were afraid of the evil rooster, so yeah we are pretty much super hero's for the Hill's!!! It was a really funny taking the picture with the rooster and the kids they were so excited!!! Haha it was funny!!! The weather here has been pretty stinking warm, and sticky humidity!!! How warm is it at home right now??? How is everyone a doing??? Write back and tell me how everyone is a going.. The hopefully new house looks awesome Caprice!!! Praying yall get it, that would be great!!! I LOVE YOU all!!!! Kinda a shorter letter today, Ill write more next week!!! Have A Great Day everyone!!!! Love ya, Lance

Ps. 20 months Tommorrow!!! Krazy!!!!

Hola Mi Amors!!!

June 1, 2010
Dear Family of mine!!!!

Happy Memorial Day weekend!!!! Sounds like its been pretty crazy one, with a bike run all around the west, Nevada, Cali... Sounds pretty amazing!!! Thanks for sneaking on the time in the trip to email, that was pretty awesome to be able to get that sent!!! So we are of course emailing today because of the holiday weekend!!! Yesterday was a super sweet P-day we got together with the whole zone, all the elders and sisters and played Volleyball, B-ball, and football!!! It was a blast, nice to get out of Clinton on P-days now and then!!! Today has kinda been a bummer, i stayed in Warrensburg with a Zone leader for the day and came back this morning and sometime in between all of this i lost my wallet!! I have been praying, and calling, and searching high and low and im just kinda freaking out!!! I might need to cancel my debit cards and stuff so Mom i will maybe need to email you tommorrow and have you cancel my card!!! Its pretty frusturating we just got more money on our mission cards and i've been waiting to buy food and things i need and now that i have money i don't have a card!!! Ohhh.... Crazy Crazy!!! I might also have my SS card in there too, so please pray it turns up!!! Im a little brain dead thinking about it!!!

Wowsers.... so Other than that, things are really quite amazin!!! The Area is Awesome!!! My comp is Great!!! This week has really flown by, it has been a crazy one but still a crazy good one!!! We have been teaching a ton of lessons and have had a lot of sweet experinces!!! It was so crazy on Tuesday we had to do a missionary exchange, where another elder comes in my area with me for the day... So we had to drive about 45 min to meet them halfway and right after the exchange we had a appointment with Lauren Pearson, who is doing awesome by the way!!! So on the way to the appointment this car got in front of us and there tire exploded and went alllll over the road, we dodged it and passed the car, i bet your thinking this is a awesome story where we pulled over and helped them and they want to be baptized, however we were like, " Hey should we turn around at the next overpass... No, we are already late" So we kept going to meet our exchange time and we got there a bit late, I picked up Elder Poulsen and we went to the lesson at the Stock family's house with Lauren!!! So we get to the Stocks and Lauren hadn't showed up yet... so we waited.... and waited!!! Stocks finally get a call and ends up the people who got the huge tire blow out of the road in front of us was Lauren and her bf!!!! So yeah she was totally late for our appointment, terrible her right, well she would have been there if the Christlike missionaries would have been good samaratians and pulled over!!!! It was so funny.... Lauren recognized us when we passed them, it was just hilarious, Lauren was pretty histaricol about it which is good cause some might not have thought it was so funny!!! It was a good day though!!! She is doing awesome, the Stocks went on a trip to Navuoo and she is with them up there now!!! Good stuff maynard!!!

Speaking of good stuff.... We had some awesome Interviews with the Mission President this week, that was bomb!!! We also recommited Antwon for the 12th of June, he is way excited!!! Things are going really well!!! We have had some sweet service too!! This last week I was almost a hero... like this close -->...<--- So the Hill family has a Evil rooster named Rooty!!! So Rooty has been clawing the kids and now chases after sis. hill and brother hill just kicks him away but they put a hit out on sir. Rooty and we aceptted!!! So we went over there and helped them with some yard work and the time came to kill the Rooty, boy is he one fast rooster!!! First tried to trap him but the yard is like 2-3 acres and then we tried the crossbow technique shooting homemade arrows at him, and then tried to get him with a frog gig, like a mini harpoon!!! No such luck, very close but no cigar!!! We should have cigars anyways so... touche!!! We will hopefully be able to tell you how rooty tastes in the near future!!! Until then, I hope you all have a krazy great week!!! I LOVE YOU ALL SO MUCH!!! Your always in my prayers, LOVE Elder Lance Murie

Ps. Madie, guess what.... I LOVE YOU!!!!! Have a great day!!!

Howdy yall!!!

Hello Ya Crazy Hooligans!!!!

Good Morning my sweet family!!!! Oh yeah another week in the thriving metropolis of Clinton, Missouri!!!! Wow, Im not sure if i have ever felt so busy and rushed all the time!!! We are getting taken to this persons house, dropped off at this house, Krazy Krazy!!! I don't mind the craziness because we are really having so much success!! We didn't have that baptism last week for Antwon, but we moved it to the first part of June to make sure he is ready!!! We should have 2-3 baptisms in the month of June!!! So amazing!!! The work is progressing so quickly here in Clinton it seems like things are just falling in our laps!!! Kinda like the road runner dropping a grand Panio on Wiley Coyote!!! The Lord is the Genius, all knowing road runner, and we are that Coyote kinda wondering how the Lord is finding these people for us to teach!! I love the members here in this ward!! We have been having to do a lot of traveling back in forth to teach people like 30 min drives back-n-forth and we have been getting a lot of help with rides, dinners and team-ups!!!

This weekend has been crazy fast and way way fun!!! On saturday we had our Ward BBQ, and it was based on Countries around the world!!! So we had russsian, germany, swiss chocolates and learned about each country, then had a USA BBQ!!! So we had a few non-members there and while we were there a part-member family came up to us and the daughter said she was ready to be baptized and needs the lessons!!!! It was pretty sweet!!! So we get to start teaching her on Tuesday, pretty exciting!!! Yesterday, right after church we went to Sherwood, like 20 mins outside clinton, and went to Lauren Pearson's high school graduation!!!! It was pretty cool to support her and meet her family!!!! It was a graduating class of like about 60 at the most!!! We had a great time and the grad lunch party was cool too!!! It was cool she invited us to all of that stuff for her, she is really progressing well!!! We taught Lauren about the Word of Wisdom with the Stock family last week, i might have told you... anywho she really likes coffee and tea and its super hard for her to give them up... So the Stock and I also decided to avoid caffeine sodas too!!! Blah, I LOVE Soda but it is going well, and Lauren is doing great with W.O.W. stuff!!!

Well not much going on besides the normal crazy work!!! We are working like mad "Missionary" Men!!!! It really is amazing seeing the change this gospel has in peoples lives!!! Our investigator's lives, the Member's lives and My Life!!! I was thinking in personal study today.. every single principle and standard we learn & live all comes together in one purpose... We are to become like our Father in Heaven!!! I know that is why a redemer was needed, and I know Christ is our redemer!! I know we can be perfect, and we can do it now!!!! DO IT. DO IT RIGHT. DO IT RIGHT NOW!!! I LOVE you all so much!!! Have a awesome week!!! MUCH LOVE,

Elder Lance Murie

Hello family,

It sounds like things at home are going pretty good! Sounds like you are all staying busy. Dad and Mom how are your business's going? I am taking the pills that you sent me from Lauri Steiner. Even though we are not suppossed to take herbs on our missions. I haven't been taking them real faithfully. I only take maybe 5 a day. It's hard to remember to take all 25 when you are out and about and working hard. I will try to do better though. I can't really tell a difference in only taking 2 pills a day. I do seem to be more tired lately though. I don't know if that if from not taking as many pills or if that is from my levels being way down. Hmmmm.. o well. I just keep working hard and taking short naps at lunch. I also didn't ever find my camera. But o well... I am just glad that I sent you home the SD card from th MTC. I only lost a few pictures on the other camera. And the camera I am using now is working fine.

But besides all of that I am doing really well! The work is still amazing! We taught 29 lessons last week! It was insane! I love my companions so much! They are truly amazing! Especially Sister Parry! We are so much a like it's funny! We all love eachother and have lots of fun! But I got to go! I love you all! I love you Lance!

Love Sister Madie Whitney

Kali-Bung-Ah!!!

Hello Again Loved Ones!!!

Wow it is already the middle of May!!! It sounds like everything is going really well with the gang at home!!!! Hey Robin your in my prayers on the Job situation.. Pretty crazy the goonies we all have to deal with day by day sometimes!!! Hope it all gets better quick!!! Im not really sure what is happening to this area... I know success on your mission is sometimes up and down and its hard to find people to teach sometimes, but this area is not just on fire but scorching HOT!!! We have been teaching so many families lately!!! IT has been really hard because we have not had as many dinner appointments, (no not hard because the lack of food, as you can see im not starving) we don't really get to meet the ward, and branch out the teaching pool!!! It will hopefully get better soon, i've been here for going on 3 months now and there are still a ton of families that i don't know in the ward!!! Yikes!!! I think part of it is the towns we cover are so spread out!! Yesterday for the first time i went to Warsaw, which is the part of the famous lake areas down here!! The lake of the Ozarks!! It was a gorgeous drive out there!!! but with all the traveling we do from town to town gets to me! My first area we could drive the farthest edge to the other in like 15 minutes... yesterday we were in the car traveling to appointments for like over 2 hours!!! Crazy!!!

So anywho... The people we are teaching are doing Awesome!!! Yesterday we taught Antwon, he is 10, and he is set to get baptized this thursday... we are praying everything goes really smooth, he has a super short attention span... i mean i know how perfect i was when i was 10 so you know!!! He is awesome though... really solid kid, has a ruff life at home but since he has moved with his Aunt and cousins things are a lot better!!! So Pray he is ready by Thursday!! Lauren Pearson, the 18 yr old young woman, we are teaching is doing pretty well, we taught her the word of wisdom yesterday and she is totally coffee crazed!!! but she is determined to quit!! She doesn't have a specific baptism date but she is really gaining a testimony quickly!!! She loves going to church, all the acitvities, and has a awesome member fellowship!!! She is getting super close, and she graduates this sunday from high school so things are crazy for her too!!! Everyone is just super busy this month it seems!!! But yes the work is Amazing!!! And i totally just got madies forward and it looks like the work is blossoming everywhere!!! Ahh.. this is the greatest calling ever!!! Madies right state missions are the bomb.com!!!

So not much going on today.. we are going bowling i think and for FHE making Prayer Smores with the Leans and Antwon!!! Best & most delicious way to teach prayer... top cracker-"Our Heavenly father...., Chocolate-"We thank thee for... The Mellow- "We ask thee for.." Bottom cracker- "In the name of Jesus Christ, Amen"!!! haha This email is Amen!!! I LOVE you all so so so much!!! Mom im not sure about shoes yet so hold off a bit... I'll find out more soon!! Have a Awesome week!! MUCH LOVE, Elder Lance Murie

PS. Madie, I LOVE YOU!!!!!!!!

Maddie's Missionary Moments

Her address is the same
530 Jefferson Street
Greenfield, OH 45123

Madison told us on Mothers day that she had received a blessing and in it was promised she would be made whole while on her mission. She has graves disease and has been taking 5 pills a day to bring her thyroid levels down. It looks like things are changing for her if they are taking her down to 2 pills a day now. What a blessing. Just thought I would share that little miracle with you.
Allison

Hello Family,
This week has been totally amazing! I love it! Just so that everyone knows I am staying in Greenfield another transfer! I am in Another Trio! It's Sisters Eves and Parry! I love them both so much! This transfer is going to be amazing! We all just clicked and have had a blast together ever since we became companions! It's great! I really like trio's! I think they are so much fun! It is a little challenging at time but so is just having two! It's just like having your own little party with three! And it makes cleaning go a lot faster! Hehe... Sister Seibel got transferred to Moundbuilders, Ne Wark. Actually it's really close to where Todd and Amy live. She is companions with Sister Le Sueur my MTC companion.

But besides that Misty Posey finally decided she is ready for BAPTISM! Her and her 3 kids are getting baptized on June 5! Yeah! I am so excited for her! We are also teaching Sandy and Shelbie and they want to get baptized with Misty but we have to teach them a lot to have them get baptized that soon! And we are also teaching Kayla Wells and she will be getting baptized on June 19! Zack's b-day! It's all so exciting! This area is booming! I love it! We are teaching so much and having such a great time!

I also got my thyroid results back! I am hypo now. The doctor told me to go down to 2 pills a day and then I am going to get my blood work done in 5 1/2 weeks. Just here at the hospital in Greenfield. Do we have insurance for that? What am I suppossed to do when I get my lab work done? Just let me know whats going on. But that was really good news! So I also got your package you sent! I got it right before we left to come email! Thank you so much for everything! It is all amazing! Your the best! I really like the skirt! It's cute! Another style might be cute to but whatever works. I dont have my measurments but we have a couple of members that would measure me though. Maybe I will have Sister Snavely help me and send you the measurements. We are going over there for dinner so if we get time I will have her do that.

It's sounds like things at home are going really great! That's so cool that Preston is Romeo in the play! That's awesome! That's crazy about Kennedy serving in the phillipines! I couldn't do it! I love Ohio! I am so glad I stayed in the states! I know that Heavenly Father put me where I need to be! I am just so happy and I love all the people here! It's such a great experience! I know that I will never regret serving! Thank you for all of your love and support! It means the world to me! I love you so much! Have a great week!

Love, Sister Madison Whitney
